Coronerds strives to provide the science behind death and how it’s investigated. Sometimes, we do need to use terms that some people will be uncomfortable with but the goal is not to scare or gross anyone out (too much). Discretion is advised and the content may not be suitable for everyone.

Yes and no. The purpose of the podcast is to teach about all aspects of how humans die, how the body changes after death, and what death investigators really do. However, some episodes focus on true crime cases, but through the lens of a medicolegal professional - not law enforcement. You will still get the same true crime feel during these episodes as we discuss how the body was found, biological evidence, toxicology, and cause and manner of death.

It all begins with an interest in investigating paired with a love for medical science and a strong stomach. Seeking a college degree in death investigation, anthropology, nursing, or something similar will be the best place to start. Seeking internships and requesting to attend autopsies at a medical school is a great tip, too. You can also visit ABMDI.org for current job openings.
